We have our definition of small ships – their design is conditioned by the human body.

The structure of these vessels, their size and layout, and sometimes even their dimensions are directly conditioned and determined by the physical characteristics of man (ergonomics) and correspondingly by the equipment required. These vessels can be up to 50 meters in length, depending on the type of the vessel.

WORKBOATS and YACHTS live in two different worlds.

We live in both of these worlds and keep connecting them. The best practices learned in one world we apply to the other.

Our job is to cover all phases of the design process and to provide the on-site production support. We also support our clients in the planning stage – by creating a questionnaire to help define the design task. After the completion thereof, we help with the sea trials. Our strengths lie in the extensive experience we have in the design, the construction and the navigation.

We do not do CFD or FEM (nor do we have a private towing tank).

We have tested many hull forms in towing tanks, and have applied the CFD and the FEM in many projects.

Our practice has been to work with the best specialists and to optimize the procedures and the costs. We know how to prepare the input data and how to use the output data properly. In other words: we eliminate the GIGO effect (garbage in – garbage out), the worst enemy of modern technologies. We are able to do this due to the knowledge and the experience in the hydrodynamics and the strength of materials, as well as due to the corresponding knowledge concerning the application thereof to the shipbuilding.

We work with yards OR with owners-operators OR with other design offices.

Depending on the sides and participants involved, we optimize the process and the team for the task we do.
